It was time for Outing and Contusians experienced a high-intensity outdoor activity this week-end. The 2 days stay amid nature’s bounty rejuvenated us and groomed us sharpening our skills and abilities enhancing the bond of co-workers. We headed to Destiny Farm Stay located in Avalanchi (about 25 km past Ooty). Our journey started around 4PM from office, and got its first halt at Uthalar. Soon our transport mode was changed from luxury bus to a four wheel motor truck as the road ahead to Avalanchi was bumpy. The clouds silhouettes, slight drizzle and cool breeze kept us charged up and excited throughout the travel. The navigation was quite difficult but we had a great time enjoying the mesmerizing beauty of the mountain ranges.
We finally reached our Destiny Resort at 10 am and after a quick morning routine, we got ready and started the day with a BANG!! There were a lot of team building activities organized by the resort group. We were grouped into several teams. Our event charts mentioned wall climbing, zip lining, fishing and horse riding. And none of us missed any of the above events. Contusians love playing cricket and we explored the opportunity by playing our lovable game in the green blanket.
The site was completely nature friendly, and the most impressive thing is that there was also no network for our cell phones; a complete rest with no connection to the busy world. We all assembled around the lawn area for bon fire party, played dumster act and antakshri and were gifted prizes to our surprise. The dance floor rocked for few peppy numbers. Guys moved in for their cocktail while girls dozed off to relax after a decent dinner.
We went for a morning trekking after a beautiful sunrise. The muddy walls were extremely slippery and it was the most difficult part as the side bushes were not good to hold for support. An amazing and rare experience we will be cherishing throughout. After neatly served buffet lunch, we all were loitering around capturing the splendid view of the mountains and a cool stream that was close by the resort. We packed our bag and hopped back into the bus carrying with us all the wonderful memories and beautiful sights with us.
We record our gratitude and share our message of thanks, support and love to our resort folks. It was a complete corporate package offered and a very big thanks to the Resident Manager Mr. K.H. Brijesh, the front office people Mr. Rajesh, Mr. Sugam, Mr. Dharma and the Restaurant chief Mr. Anupam and Mr. Shibu for organizing so perfectly than we expected. Special thanks to Mr. Bhasker, Mr. Iksha and Mr. Vishak guided us with courteous gesture keeping our spirits high!
If Ooty is our next tour spot, Destiny Farm Stay is our first choice.
